Delete your account

You can do this in the PosiTack Back Office app or on the web:

1. Sign in to the Back Office (the app, or positack.co.za/app in a browser) with the email and password you use for PosiTack.
2. Open My profile (tap your name).
3. Under Delete my account, enter your password and tap Delete my account.

You are signed out on every device straight away, and we email you the date your account will be deleted.

If you cannot sign in, or you only use a PIN at the till, email privacy@positack.co.za from the address on your account, or ask the business you work for. We confirm it is really you before we delete anything.

Nothing is deleted on the day you ask. Your account is deleted automatically 30 days later. If you change your mind, sign in before then: the deletion is cancelled and your account stays exactly as it was. We email you when that happens, so you will know if someone else signed in.

The owner's account is the one that runs and pays for the business, so it cannot be deleted while the business is open. First either ask PosiTack support to make someone else the owner, or close the business under Settings → Close account. Once the business has closed you can delete your account. What happens to a closed business's records is set out in our Refund and Cancellation Policy and Privacy Policy.

When your account is deleted, we delete:

• your sign-in email address and password
• your phone number
• your till PIN
• your link to Google sign-in, if you used it
• every device you were signed in on

Your name stays on the sales, shifts, timesheets and payslips you were part of. The business you worked for must keep those records by law (payroll records for 5 years under the Tax Administration Act). Those records belong to that business, so ask it if you want to know what it holds about you, or to have more of it removed. Our Privacy Policy explains how long each kind of record is kept.

This page is for people who sign in to PosiTack to work: owners, managers and staff. If you have an account with a restaurant or shop that uses PosiTack, close it in that venue's own app or website, or ask the venue.
